FAI Universitas Darunnajah and ACIS UiTM Strengthen the Collaboration Through International Academic & Cultural Exchange Program 2025

SHAH ALAM, 9 December 2025 – The Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI) of Universitas Darunnajah, Indonesia, in collaboration with the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS) of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), successfully held the International Synergistic Academic Collaboration & Cross-Cultural Exchange Program 2025 at PTAR Law, UiTM Shah Alam. The program served as a strategic platform to strengthen academic networks, promote cross-cultural understanding, and expand bilateral cooperation between the two institutions.
Leading up to the main event, FAI UDN and ACIS UiTM organized a series of online pre-program activities throughout November 2025, including:
- Collaborative Teaching sessions between UDN and UiTM lecturers,
- an Innovation Competition featuring 50 entries from various Universities
- an Academic Seminar with 36 presentations involving staff and students from both institutions.
These activities reflect the strong commitment of UDN and UiTM to continuous academic engagement and knowledge empowerment.
The main program took place on 9 December 2025. The International Conference began by two keynote addresses delivered by Dr Much Hasan Darojat, Rector of Universitas Darunnajah, and Prof Dr S Salahudin Suyurno, Dean of ACIS from ACIS and UDN. The event followed by 4 parallel presentations and discussions. The academic sessions were complemented by cultural performances featuring students from both UDN and UiTM: Nasyid songs, poetry, traditional Indonesian Medley dance and song celebrating the richness of Indonesian and Malaysian traditions.
The program also included a prize-giving ceremony to honor the winners of the innovation competition and outstanding paper presenters. The day concluded with a vibrant Food Festival, offering a variety of Nusantara dishes and providing an informal space for participants to interact.
This international program marks an important milestone for FAI UDN in enhancing its global visibility and expanding long-term international partnerships. The collaborative efforts with ACIS UiTM open new avenues for joint research, student exchange opportunities, innovation initiatives, and sustainable academic development.
FAI UDN extends its appreciation to ACIS UiTM and all contributors for their support and commitment in making the program a success. Universitas Darunnajah continues its forward stride toward global excellence through strong academic synergy and international collaboration.
